“You CAN Afford to Record!
You CAN’T Afford NOT to!”

Make a great-sounding demo at a fraction of the cost, freeing up your budget for promotion.

Recording

Whether you’re a vocalist or play an instrument, I’ll get you mic’d up and sound-checked, before capturing your best performance in my cosy and acoustically treated recording studio.

Editing

Editing your audio is essential, comping together all your best takes, line by line, into a single seamless piece, then trimming each clip, ensuring there’s no unwanted noise.

Sequencing

Need an original backing track? Or a minimal accompaniment? I offer MIDI sequencing, sampling, synthesis and drum programming, as well as advice on structure and arrangement.

Mixing

Bringing all your instrumental and vocal layers together into a single cohesive mix can be just as creative as writing the song itself, making sure each element complements the rest.

To help get you started with producing your demo, I’ve created a FREE 15-step checklist, which takes you through each stage in the process, from preparation to completion:

How much are poor quality demos costing you?

Have you received a sub-par or disappointing mix?

How many potential listeners are missing out on your music because you don’t have a decent demo out there?

Are you struggling to afford high-end studio rates?

How much time have you spent trying to learn music production from scratch, only to be disappointed with the results?

A poor quality demo may already be costing you a great deal!

There’s never been a better time to hit the studio!

Take the first step towards having a catalogue of recorded material you can be proud of…

Added Value with EVERY Project

Here’s what I provide to my clients for each and every project I work on:

I understand how hard it is to progress as an artist with only a small budget.

You want to make your music sound as good as possible, but you can’t afford a high-end studio, so you settle for a local mid-range studio instead. But, when you get your demo home, it just doesn’t sound as good as you’d hoped.

It’s incredibly frustrating to have put so much time, money and effort into recording your music, only to be totally disappointed with the result. I should know – I’ve been there myself! …which is why I became interested in music production in the first place.

I’ve been a singer with a bunch of different bands since I was 15, from grunge to funk-rock, new-age to trip-hop, hip-hop to electronica and I was never satisfied with the quality of any of our demos!

I’ve heard the same story time and again, from so many people over the years. Luckily, since I started recording and mixing my own material, I found a passion for producing music, as well as performing it, leading me to gain as much knowledge and experience in music technology as I could.

I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some very talented artists in order to help them achieve their musical aspirations, who could otherwise have exhausted their funds with other studios that might not have been quite so passionate about their projects.

I’ve been helping artists realise their potential for over 12 years, now, during which time I have worked with literally hundreds of musicians, occupying dozens of different genres, producing a myriad of demos, singles, albums and compilations.

My clients have saved hundreds – if not thousands! – of pounds in studio costs and they’ve always been impressed with the result.

At the end of the day, the proof is in the pudding, so I encourage you to listen to some of the tracks I’ve recorded and mixed, and compare them to those of other small and mid-range studios in the area.

I’m confident you’ll be able to hear the difference in quality… In fact, I’m already looking forward to working with you! Together, I hope we’ll produce your best-sounding demo to date – I can’t wait to get started!

Do you have a limited budget?

Most independent artists struggle to afford high-end recording studio rates…

…and many mid-range studios turn out sub-par mixes anyway. At Sidrat Audio, you’ll make a great-sounding demo that will really do your material justice – and at a fraction of the cost! Plus, with the money you’ll save, you can successfully promote your music with confidence.

“You CAN Afford to Record!

You CAN’T Afford NOT to!”

4 Simple Steps to get Your Music out to the World:

Project Overview

It’s good to know exactly what to expect when getting ready to record your music, so here’s how a typical project with Sidrat Audio will pan out, from start to finish…

#1

When you get in touch, the first thing we’ll do is discuss your project in detail, ensuring every aspect is fully understood, including the instruments and vocals you want to record, any sequenced accompaniments or backing tracks you may need, and the sound and style you want the Final Mix to take.

#2

I’ll then send you an itemised quote, detailing each part of your project, so there’s no room for confusion over what you’re getting and how much it will cost.

#3

Upon your approval of the quote, I will send you an invoice for the total amount, to be paid in advance, along with all your contact details.

#4

I will then send you a detailed production plan, mapping out your project, step-by-step, and we’ll book a date for your first session, which will give us both sufficient time to prepare.

#5

I’ll also send you my free ebook, packed with tips and a clear guide to the studio process, from preparation to completion.

#6

Being prepared for the studio is key to a smooth and productive session, so you’ll need to have practiced your performance in advance and have a clear idea of the arrangement and structure you want for your music.

#7

If you’re able to provide me with any backing tracks, previous recordings, reference tracks, structure sheets, lyrics, plus any other useful information you may have, that will be a great help.

#8

During the production process, you will, of course, be present for each stage, including recording, editing and sequencing, which will help to ensure that you’re happy with everything we create together.

#9

I will provide you with an initial Rough Mix, with the various instruments and vocals balanced in level and panned as necessary, with all essential editing completed. No other processing will be applied.

#10

Listening through to the Rough Mix, you’ll have the opportunity to check all the performances are up to scratch, as well as any sequenced layers, making sure everything has been recorded, structured and arranged properly.

#11

You may then request any minor edits to be made, as well as overdubs to be recorded – I offer a free drop-in session with every project for this purpose.

#12

Once you’re happy with the Rough Mix, simply indicate your approval to proceed and I’ll get started on the first proper mix.

#13

I’ll send you Mix Proof#1 for you to listen to closely through a number of different playback systems, making sure to take notes on anything that needs changing in the mix.

#14

When we’ve discussed your amendments, I’ll apply them to the mix and send you Mix Proof#2, for you to go through the same listening and note-taking process as before.

#15

If there are any further amendments, we’ll discuss them and I’ll make the necessary adjustments before sending you Mix Proof#3.

#16

Only when you are 100% satisfied, will the project be finished. So, should there be any remaining aspects of the mix you’d like me to address, we’ll book a Studio Listening Session, during which we can make any last changes together in order to complete the Final Mix.

#17

Any additional changes beyond this point will incur a fee, charged at the appropriate hourly rate.

#18

Once you’re completely happy with the finished piece, I’ll send you a final invoice for any additional costs.

#19

Upon receipt of your Final Payment (if required), all your audio files will be supplied to you via a download link, including mastered (for CD and Streaming) and unmastered mixes, in WAV and MP3 formats.

#20

Your project will then be complete and I’ll look forward to working with you again when you’re ready to begin the next.

So, that should cover pretty much everything you need to know about how a project will go at Sidrat Audio, from start to finish.

This is essentially an agreement between you and me, outlining what each of us will promise the other in order to make sure the project runs smoothly and is successfully completed.

In addition to this agreement, I also recommend that you read through my official Terms & Conditions, which go into a bit more detail and include some items you may need to be aware of, such as data protection, file handling, etc.

It’s ALL about the Demo

Here’s why you should book a session RIGHT NOW!

If you’re reading this, the chances are that you want to become a successful recording artist. In order to make that happen, you need to get into a decent studio and lay down your tracks to a high standard.

This is an essential part of the process of producing music for all professional artists; Recording a demo.
Once you’ve written your songs and practiced them to perfection, it’s time to record your demo, to be used for promotion via streaming and live performance, building up a fan base, getting onto playlists and catching the attention of record labels.
Of course, once you’re at that stage in your music career, having signed a favourable contract, you’ll have access to greater funds to produce your tracks in a high-end studio, with a well-known producer, achieving exactly the sound you want.

The problem is that, right now, you can’t afford to pay for a high-end or even a mid-range studio, many of which seem to turn out sub-par mixes in any case.
This can be very frustrating and makes you feel like you may never get your music recorded at all, let alone have a chance of promoting it successfully or enjoying the rewards that come with it.

But there is a Solution!

I strongly believe that no artist or musician should be held back from achieving their dreams, just because they lack the necessary funds, or receive an unsatisfactory mix. Trust me, I know how it feels to be prevented from making a decent demo of my music due to a low budget – it sucks!

That’s why I provide my services specifically to solo artists who are just starting out on their recording journey, by producing great-sounding demos at a fraction of the cost of a high-end or even mid-range studio.
Just give me a call or drop me an email for a free consultation and no obligation quote.
We’ll book your first session and record, edit, sequence, mix and master your track(s), ready for you to start promoting your music.

Contact me today and I’ll help you get the ball rolling, so that you can stop worrying about money and lack of progress, leaving you free to start confidently sharing your music with the world!
